casio watch unboxing

hello, ujiie here. what do you think? right. as you can see, i'm using the keylab. this one's the 61-key version. and that's not all. actually.. i have this sucker too! did you see what's on the screen here? this right here is called bitwig. uh, bitwig studio, to be precise.

it's a daw package, as you can see. and let me tell you, it's great! they've done very good job here! but the integration with the keylab is great! other stuff i'm also using here: the mini-v, and also this, the analog lab. so, these things, the bitwig studio, and the keylab controller,

are bundled as the keylab producer pack. and it's a real bargain! so let's dig in and see what it's all about! ok, so, the bitwig studio, and the keylab here. this is a match made in heaven! seriously. but what's so good about it? well, for starters, the bitwig studio itself is one of the most cutting-edge daws available on the market right now.

now, look at this here, under options > preferences, open that up, and you get the preferences window here. general, audio... and so on. as you can see i'm using the universal audio apollo interface. ok, click on controllers, and you can see here it's already there, uh, what's this? "detect? "detect available controllers"

if you click that, it'll recognize the keylab 61. and with that, you're all set and ready to go! ok. so we've done that, now what? look at this. it's hooked up, and the lcd display shows this: "arturia & bitwig" "let's groove!" just hook it up, it's recognized and ready. i've done no more than simply plug it in. this is really awesome.

everything is ready to go here. perfectly! uhh, like start/stop for example. hit the button and it goes. see? press record, and it starts recording. see that? spot on. you can do lots of things here. let's look a bit deeper at what biwig studio is all about. yes, that's what i'd like to do next.

well. when it comes to daw software, we've got the usual list of suspects... there's steinberg, pro tools, cubase... lots of them. logic too. and the newest one now, right at the forefront of them all, is none other than bitwig studio. ok, so the screen we're looking at here right now

is the uh, normal window, the normal view, where you can see what tracks you've got. it's a pretty standard daw window, right? ok so i'm going to do here, in a very easy to understand way, is simply add another track. you can choose from instrument, audio or effect. let's go with instrument, shall we? and there we have a new instrument track.

ok,done. now, we've got the browser over here, and let me tell you, this is awesome too. with the producer pack, uh, the keylab producer pack, you get the mini v, which i was using before, and the analog lab, but let's select mini v for now. ok, there we go. now in just a sec here, bam! there's the mini v window.

ready to go. the mini v is up and running perfectly. ok. now take a look here. this, uh... on the parameter page. when you move any of the knobs, it shows the parameter. cutoff, say. and of course, here zoom in on the screen for me. see it? see it moving onscreen?

you've got total control over the filter, right? perfect integration. this is great. go to the oscillator page. oscillator... detune. perfect. integration. that's all there is to it! i think you see how you have perfect control here. ok so let's say...

...it needs a little something more. chorus maybe? or flanger? in any case, some kind of effects. something that interested me about bitwig, uh, we've got the mini v 64 channel here, and for the effects, uh can you zoom in on this over here for me? here we have audio fx, click and open, and you see how many effects are included here? lots and lots of 'em in here!

well, what are we gonna use here? ok, let's go with chorus. drag and drop it and bam! there we go. let's see. yes, it's got chorus on it now! see how easy that was? this is just perfect! here it is. something else we can do...

uh, here we have the chorus controls shown onscreen. once there, we can control those parameters... ...using the knobs on the keylab. nice! and something else we can do here, is put delay on it as well. delay... bam! now we've got a delay in the effects line. and we can control the delay parameters. this!

is. great!!! you can keep going and going. to get the same results, in the past you'd have to run all these insert effects, a real pain! but this is very straightforward and intuitive! aaaand there's more. you just go about business as usual, recording tracks as you always do, no surprises there. but! a particular point of this software,

is that it's loaded with content! over 1,000 presets and 3gb of content! drum parts and various instruments and what not, tons of stuff! let's take a look. click here on the waveform icon. here we go. new window. look at all this stuff here! it's just jam-packed full of content! look at all this!! right? take this one here,

let's give it a listen. ohh, nice! nice! oh, ok. whoa! yeah, cool! ah, this is a good loop. naturally, you can drag & drop a loop you like, over here, and there you go. see?

ah, i see. it's matched the project tempo. you can change it. let's raise the tempo. that should do it. let's go with that. about 125 bpm/ you can go ahead and record tracks here, say, using the mini v. let's record. select the mini v track, press the record button, and here we go.

no problem. done. cool, huh? right. now, double-click on the newly recorded part, and a piano roll opens at the bottom of the screen. you see it here? perfect. you can drag notes around. or with audio tracks, wow, you see how nice this is? the file is properly chopped already. what about reversing just this slice here?

select. click. boom. there you go. reversed. just that part of the phrase is reversed. ah, let's solo this track. there. hear it? schwoop! you can easily edit audio like this. well, you could if you wanted to, but for "normal" use, it's just like a standard daw, right? but!!! the great part about this particular daw, is this right here.

where is it... here! this screen. it's called the clip launcher. you put different parts here, as clips, just drag them in. this is really well done! it's like, uh, a kind of musical sketch? and as such, it's great! let's drag one of these parts over, ok?

and drag this part over too, to here. and, uh, what's next? click up here for playback. now this right here is what's playing. see how that was done? you can take these loops you've got over here... drag one over, playback via the clip launcher, and they both play. now this is really neat! or, what, how about something completely different?

yeah this kind of thing. one that i'd probably never use, actually. how's that? and how about another different one? mix 'em up. this one too. and how about this one? put them together like so. right. good enough. the clip on the left... here's the middle one...

that's really cool! let's select the instrument track once again, and use the analog lab, since it comes with it, ok? and in the analog lab, as you probably know, analog lab contains all of arturia's synth engines, so you can use them individually, search them, choose what you like. this is also a very nice piece of work!

well then, let's see... what should we go with? ok, how about something from a cs-80 uh, select the pad category. and, we get a list of cs-80 pads. yeah, that's cool. let's go with that. and, just as you'd expect, you can record into a clip. it's recording.

and recording's done let's look at that. and there we have the part i just recorded. it'll loop it correctly even if the timing or number of bars is different. it's quite smart like that. so, you can take the things you make here, i've got a few i made here a minute ago, you can take a stack of clips like this one right here, and drop the entire scene

uh, how about at the start of the first bar? drag. drop. boom. there you go. ok then next, let's take scene 2 and drop it right after the cs-80 phrase ends. drop it right in there. there we go. i put it right there. you can use the clip launcher as a sketch pad, stacking stuff, and then carry them over here, to the uh, timeline? timeline... uh...

like the main sequencer window. drag them over there, and build your song in that way. there's probably more than one way to do it, right? i think this is really interesting. going back to how well it's integrated with the keylab, put it in multi-mode, and cycle through parts 1 through 10 here onscreen. you can choose this kind of display, etc. this one, for example, would be great for live performance,

you can get crafty with it. and of course, you've got these sliders here, which can be used just like volume sliders on a mixer. move 'em however you want. set the volume for the channels, balance the mix. this is really such an awesome feature! this is really, really well done! and having control of what's onscreen, and i mean perfect control,

yeah it's just great! very nice! well done, bitwig! alright, i'm going to get this phrase playing here... see the playhead moving? ok so i'm gonna take this one right here, and alter the pitch. click here and here, and move it. drag it up like so. it's only the topmost note that i've moved here. now how does it sound?

what's gonna happen? you got it, right? let's move it up a tad more. let's check it out again. ready? you see how it's only the top note that's changing? ok, ok let's fiddle with the lowest note here. that look good to you? here we go.

you heard it change, right? you can play around with individual notes from the chord. this is just... ...hands-down, it's incredible! here, i've got it bending back up to the original note. and the top one back down too. let's listen to it. amazing! usually, pitch bend works like this... ...all of the notes are bent up or down. that's pitch bend.

but here, we took a 4-note chord, and bent the highest note, and the lowest note only. this is really, really powerful! i was surprised!! you can really pull off some tricks with this! fantastic! and musically speaking, this really changes the game. this reminds me of the cs-80's polyphonic portamento. it really does. wow!

well, i think you can see, the keylab here, and the bitwig studio make a great combination! very impressive! the keylab producer pack. it's such a great deal! these two, bundled together, and at a very reasonable price! you need to check this out! a cutting-edge music production environment,

together with a great master keyboard. and the integration is perfect! you should pick up a keylab producer pack and get started with making some new music! the keylab bitwig studio producer pack! translation & captions by:swcreativejapan.
