casio watch finder

the psr-s670. in this video, i'll be showing you its various functions. and the functions, well, of course there are lots of buttons, looks like a ton. yeah. there's a ton. lots! but very easy to use! it's very functionally made. that's what i'd like to show you today.

first, live control. in the previous video, i used it with dance-type stuff. but the really neat thing about live control, well, this is a fantastic feature! ok let's fool with a dance-type pattern here. this kind of thing. let's go with this. now, what live control is all about, is that by pressing the assign button,

you get a list of assignable options here. as is, the current sound's filter cutoff and resonance are assigned. that's on the active sound being played. this arpeggiated sound right here. hear it? let's change it up here. use a few different things. ok then. here, voice arpeggiator velocity,

and voice arpeggiator gate time. hear the velocity changing? see how that works? ok what's next? how about the style i'm playing? let's change the retrigger on/off setting. the rate, and the style chorus. this is really neat! chorus. hear how wide the sound got there?

retrigger next. let's speed it up. fully counter-clockwise is off. this is fun! next, how about voice, no, style filter and reverb? hear the filter at work there? this one next. how good is that? using live control, you have a variety of things

you can assign the knobs to. this is just like using a mixer, or djing, kind of new territory here. fantastic. and do you see how you have a variety of settings possible here? like what pattern will play, or what sound will play, or even uh, like what style pattern will play, all that stuff. you can control those things via registration memory. with juse one press of a button, you can change everything.

what style, which sound, all of that. changeable on the fly, and instantaneously. for example, this one too, uh... this is number one, ok? change to three. now it's a dance thing. or changed to this. you can change it in a split second. registration. there are a few different banks as well.

you can store eight in each bank. this is a very useful feature! ok next up, multi pad. let's look at that. multi pad is these four buttons here, which do this. they're assigned to drum sounds currently. but they have a variety of uses. press the select button here, and the screen changes like so.

you have a number of selections here. uh, like dj sfx for instance. let's try that. here. that's neat. scratch. that's awesome. dance kit. you can manually play sounds from the dance kit. a number of things like this available as presets, but you can also assign your own .wav or audio files here. another great feature, right?

well, since you have the option to import your own audio files, there's a number of external expansions available. like right now i'm using one of the usb ports. i've got a usb memory stick plugged in. well, what can i do with this? well, you can take .wav files on the usb stick, and play them back. let's try that. here we go.

that's how playing back .wav files works. fantastic! still a lot of other things you can do. aside from .wav files, i also have midi files on the usb stick. midi files. you can access those midi files, and, ok why not do something interesting here? amazing grace. everybody knows amazing grace. you can play it back via the song control section here.

there it goes. you can even show the score here! so the score for the currently playing midi data shows here as it plays. there it is. see the playhead? "c f f, a g f a" you can play along while reading the score. another thing, something else you can do with the score.

you can view lyrics. chords, lyrics too. right? all of that. it's all there. of course, it'll do japanese for japanese songs too. well, for any text really. if it'll display japanese, or english, it'll display a variety of languages. they've done a very good job here, right? that's not all! on we go!

the music finder function. what this does, for any internal or external contents, as it is, there are 70 songs they've chosen, listed here in alphabetical order. see them all here? so what's it all about? well, "air on the g string" here. there are three here, this one, "baroque air,"

or "chillout" or "classic piano ballad" too. so anyway they've got versions of this song that they recommend, that'll play back in a given style. ok from the intro... it's all arranged already. "air on the g string" that feels great! music finder. you can also bring in external songs. it can store a max of 1,200 songs!!!

what the heck is that about?! 1,200 songs! that's crazy. something else. an even more awesome thing about the psr-s670, maybe above anything else, is how good the effects are. even i was surprised here. take this guitar for example. even as it is, it's very clean, very nice. delay and reverb on it already.

this sound is called clean guitar. let's put some effects on it. ok, clean guitar, hereĆ¢€”effect type. here we go. loads of effects! you chose the effect here. delay, yeah? on the far right, you have the various delay types. like this one. cross delay. or tempo-synced delay.

let's check out distortion. the distortion effects utilize amp simulation! it's crazy! a variety of different amp simulators. that one is so nice! how good is that? or how about modulation? the number of different chorus effects is staggering! wow. effects. uh, effect types are: reverb, chorus,

dsp 1, 2, 3, 4. all together, there are six effects you can use at once. right? crazy. and in addition to those six effects, there is also an eq, as you see here. it's the master eq. it's got five bands. and, there's also a master compressor. that's what i'm talking about! with the eq and compressor, all in all there are

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. eight effects at once! that's pretty extravagant! not to mention there are stereo speakers here too. they're quite high quality speakers too. 10-watts each. they can get pretty damn loud too! too loud for inside your own home even. what the heck is that about? i think you get the idea. this thing is nuts!

and what's more, it's user expandable! in the user section here, you have expansion. i have the uh, mexican pack, for the s670, installed. you can even go from your computer, see here? two categories available. connect a usb cable and you can send the data over. you can even edit the package contents, change the order of things around for example,

or other stuff like that. and... as far as sounds go. well, as you see here, you can start from scratch. and make your own voices. fiddle with various parameters and what not. make your own original voices here on the computer, with the editor here, and then send the data over. this is just great. great! i mean really! and another feature that i particularly like,

the styles. yeah i've used what, rock, ballad, swing and even reggae. well you can make your own styles! and what a great feature! let's try it. so, via function, we have style creator. make your own styles. hit enter. let's make a new style. first, the drum part. it's ready to record.

drum sounds ready, ok? but you can change the drum sounds. you can change individual sounds, or the whole kit. this is good. let's use it. right so let's make a two-bar pattern then. you can set the length how you like. four bars, whatever. ok. two bars. let's just do something easy, ok? hit start, and the metronome starts. play along with that.

yeah that's nice. right? good. ok next. what should we do next then? next. ok let's set the next recording channel to bass. bass. right. what sound should we use? ah, that's a good one! pick bass. let's go with this. hit the start button. that's the drum part i just recorded, right? here we go. ok then, next. uh...

a piano sound maybe? electric piano? this suitcase electric piano sound. good. let's use this. as far as chords go, if you start in c major 7th, you'll get good results here when it changes things for you. c major 7th. nice. we'll go with that.

hmm. how about adding an arpeggio guitar? yeah. here in the chord 2 part. right, so then. guitar. how about an acoustic guitar sound? i'll play it like an arpeggio. that's good. that's very simple, but very nice. let's save it. save. this here. uhhh...

go to the top there, ok let's save it. save? ok. right. it's in there now. it's been saved in the user style area. go to the user style area here, there it is. select that. and... this! awesome! that's how you make your own style.

that's a feature i really hope people take advantage of! you can make them all: main a, b, c, d, fill etc. awesome! right. got my iphone here. yeah. i wanna show you something neat here. i have some music apps in here. here, chord tracker. this one's from yamaha,

fire that up, and it lets you use your own song, choosing from the list of what's available. ok a song of mine. here. it's a song called "gift." touch that, and the app figures out all the chords, just like that. from the audio file! let's play it. it's a ballad. how's that? spot on. f major 7th, to c, d minor 7th.

next is c. back to f major 7th. this kind of song. yeah, spot on. so, that song has been analyzed by the app, and that's that. now, we can take the chord data from the analysis results, you're not gonna believe this, but the psr-s670 here, can use the chord progression data from this app here, chord tracker, and send it to the keyboard.

let's try that. "transmit to instrument." touch that, it gives you this applet, the song is gift, and i'll touch send here, and by doing so, the screen here will change. did you see it? and with that, it's in here! complete with song name! in the song part there.

how amazing is that? it's in there. now if i press the start button here, that chord progression will begin, as a style on the psr-s670 here. the chord progression is automatic! amazing! this kind of connectivity is possible. via the camera connection kit. to the usb port of the psr-s670. it's hooked up. but you can also use this kind of wifi adaptor too.

yamaha makes one. so you can, over wifi, uh, you can send things that are on your device iphone or ipad or whatever, wirelessly over to the keyboard. amazing. the technology is progressing! the psr-s670. so much fun!!! you've got to check one out at a store near you! the yamaha psr-s670! translation & captions by:swcreativejapan.
